MISSION STATEMENT
Lambda Mu Omega Society aims to unite women of all cultural backgrounds and promote awareness of multifaceted, intersectional issues on campus and in the surrounding communities.
As an organization, we pride ourselves in promoting an inclusive environment in which all races, disabilities, nationalities, sexualities and financial situations are welcomed.
PURPOSE
The purpose of Lambda Mu Omega Society is to focus on combating issues of injustice and prejudice through thoughtful service and action while keeping academic excellence a priority, and always keeping our sisterhood alive and close to our hearts.
PILLARS
Scholars
The first pillar of Lambda Mu Omega is 'Scholars.' We are students first and foremost, and continuously strive for high academic achievement.
ADVOCATES
With our knowledge and voice, we will advocate for those who have a voice without an audience. As university students, we understand the academic privilege that we have, and that doesn't minimize the struggles or oppression we have encountered.
MENTORS
Mentorship is essential to understanding and uplifting a community by connecting with the individuals on a personal level. A goal of Lambda Mu Omega is to create a large mentorship program for school-aged girls in the greater Binghamton Community.
SISTERS
Lambda Mu Omega is inclusive of everyone, regardless of gender or sexuality, but sisterhood is our last pillar because we focus much of our energy creating life-long friendships and everlasting memories.
